Kenyatta Johnson is pursuing a B.A. at the University of Houston with a major in Studio Art and a minor in Education.  Johnson’s studio work explores acrylic portraiture mostly of women she knows and mythical women from her imagination. Johnson previously studied photography and design at Houston Community College and at the Art Institute of Houston. Johnson anticipates graduating in 2019 and once she earns her degree she would like to teach art to children in school.

Kenyatta Johnson participated in the YA/YA young artists’ guild 1995-2000.
